Google Latitude, was developed 2-3 years ago. Google Latitude can work on any phone that has Google Maps. This includes Android, iOS, Blackberry, Symbian and even Windows Phones. Here's a video by Google, which shows how Latitude works.

After watching the above video you can see that it works similar to FamilyTracker. The only downside is that it lacks functions such as sounding an alarm remotely and sending free text messages which can be found on FamilyTracker. Though, it does provide the tools for basic tracking. Of course, you need to give permission and Google Latitude should be installed on all the phones that are to be tracked.
